ICES Gathering at SIAM CSE19 Conference in Spokane

More than 50 ICES researchers will make presentations at the SIAM CSE19 conference.

The SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE19) will be held Feb. 25-March 1 in Spokane, WA. ICES researchers will participate in well over 50 talks, posters, and minisymposia.

A highlight of the conference will be ICES Professor Rachel Ward's delivery of an Invited Plenary talk on Stochastic Gradient Descent, in Theory and Practice.

ICES Professors Clint Dawson and Karen Willcox will participate in a Featured Minisymposium on Computational Science and Engineering Education, discussing the new UT undergraduate Computational Engineering degree and Past, Present and Future of CSE Education at ICES.

ICES community – both past and present – are invited to an informal ICES gathering at CSE19. The get-together will take place Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at the bar at Table 13, at the Davenport Grand Hotel.
