Overview

A common question we are asked is how to share files with people who might not have an Oden Institute account, such as collaborators or associates at other universities.

If you want to simply share a file freely to the world, move or copy it to ~/public_html/, and set its permissions with chmod a+r ~/public_html/filename. This file can then be accessed via http://users.oden.utexas.edu/~yourusername/filename
