Gabriele Merlo

Biography
Gabriele Merlo received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in 2016 and is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Oden Institute at the University of Texas at Austin. He is part of the GENE development team and works on the Exascale Computing project.
Dr. Merlo's interests are computational plasma physics and the numerical methods for modeling turbulence and transport processes in magnetically confined plasmas.
