Abstract

Dr. Yaj Medury, who is the Vice Chancellor of Bennett University in the national Capital Region in India, is visiting UT Austin to recruit faculty in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics, and possibly Mechanical Engineering. He is looking for both faculty and postdocs in a number of areas though primarily Computer and Computational Science. Dr Medury graduated with a BTech (Hons) from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur, and subsequently did his MS & PhD from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, USA. Dr Medury started his career with the British Council, New Delhi, India overseeing Science & Technology sector projects in India, funded under bilateral aid agreements.He has also served as Chairman & MD with EdCIL (a Government of India Enterprise) – an educational consultancy organization, and with the Jaypee Group setting up 4 Universities across India. Dr Medury plays an active role in key industry associations’ vis-à-vis the education sector such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM etc.
