The Moncrief Undergraduate Summer Internship Program is organized to provide summer support for qualified undergraduate students of mathematics, science, and engineering to work with ICES faculty and research staff for a two-and-a-half month period. The interns will work with faculty and one of ICES’ 18 research centers and groups on one of a wide range of research topics focused on developing modeling and simulation methods to study problems in energy, advanced materials, biomedical research, nanomanufacturing, and related areas that draw on applied and computational mathematics, computing, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, mathematical physics, and biology.

Stipends for the summer internships total $6000.

Application deadline: March 1, 2010

Selections will be announced on April 1, 2010.
