Thursday, September 20, 2PM – 3PM
POB 6.304
John West
The DoD HPCMP is the Department’s central resource for supercomputing expertise, networking, and computational capability. Budgeted at $285M per year with roughly 700 employees and 4,000 users, the program represents a substantial investment that supports the rapid innovation required to keep our Nation’s military at the forefront of technology and effectiveness. John will present an overview of mission, operation, and structure of the HPCMP along with a view of the impact this Program has on the Nation through the diverse computational projects making use of the nearly 3 billion core hours delivered to the science and technology community of the DoD.
